How do I know if I am well-prepared to adopt a pet?

Pets bring so much to our lives, but owning a pet is a lifelong commitment. There is an online assessment for you to complete on our portal after you decide to adopt a pet. This assessment allows you to evaluate your suitability and readiness to adopt a pet. How do I know the breed and the health status of the pet?

You may check the breed and other details on the pet profile. To further understand the health status of each pet, you may speak to the shelter or make an appointment to visit the shelter. 

How do I adopt a pet from your portal?

Adopt a pet serves as a bridge between pets and shelters. The requirements and adoption processes differ between shelters. Steps: Find a Pet - Select on the pet - click Pet Details - Adopt Me - Fill in your info - Schedule Appointment. You may have more discussion on-site directly with our partner shelter on the appointment day.

Can I adopt more than one pet?

The requirements and adoption processes differ between shelters. We suggest you make an appointment on our portal and further discuss this with the shelter on the appointment day. 

Can I return the pet to the shelter if I cannot adopt it anymore?

We do not encourage pet abandonment. Please consider your options carefully before getting a pet; every fur kid deserves lots of love. 

What kind of pets do you have in your portal currently?

As of now, we have both cats and dogs waiting for adoption.

How do I create an account?

Please register yourself in the portal before start adopting any pet. After filling out all fields, you will receive a welcome email. Remember to log on to change your password. 

What should I do after making an appointment with the shelter?

After scheduling an appointment, you will receive an email to your registered email address. Schedule yourself and do remember to visit the shelter at your appointment time. Your potential lovely furkid is waiting for you.  

How do I check my appointment time?

You can find your appointment details by logging in to your adoptapet account and clicking on "Calendar" under your account. You may also search the appointment details on your registered email. 

How to Reserve the Pet I’m Interested In?

Please note that reaching out to the shelter or rescue group regarding a pet of interest does not automatically reserve or guarantee the availability of that particular pet. To obtain updated information about your adoption inquiry or the status of the pet you've applied for, kindly get in touch with the shelter or rescue group directly. The contact details and address of the shelter can be found on the pet's profile page as well..
